Greetings!

Thanks for stopping by. Time flies this year and the BSO season has drawn to a close. We have begun in earnest with the Boston Pops season that will run through May and the better part of June.

I am excited to say this Pops season has some great concerts. Some I particularly look forward to are John Pizzarelli and Chris Botti.  Concerts are often on the radio locally and you can typically listen via the web to BSO Saturday evening concerts at WCRB if you are restricted by travel but interested in listening.

My family and I are looking forward to our first summer at Tanglewood where the BSO will repeat some of the highlights from this past season such as Mahler 6 and the German Requiem as well as concerts with such notable guest conductors as Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Michael Tilson Thomas, and Herbert Blomstedt.

Next season has been announced and includes some amazing concerts such as a run of the complete Beethoven Symphonies, Mahler 7, and the Berg Three Pieces.  You can view the entire 2009/10 season at the BSO website.

In addition, I have been appointed to the trombone faculty at New England Conservatory of Music. Please click on the teaching link to the left or contact me for more information if you would like to apply to the trombone studio.

Thank you again for stopping by,

-Toby Oft
